Case Study: 1 (Peritoneal Mesothelioma)

Name:   Mr. Lee

Age:     38

Medical History     

Mr. Lee had suffered from cancer (peritoneal mesothelioma)  for 5 years. Several treatment options including surgery didn't yield a fruitful result.At the end of 2004 a CT scan revealed that there were multiple metastases in the liver and extensive metastasis in the abdomen. Bed-ridden for half a year and rejected by other hospitals he sought shelter and treatment in this hospital on March 2005.

Condition upon admission     

On admission the patient was in a much debilitated condition, skinny and with abdominal distension.

A hard lump was found to be present. With a multifaceted approach of a combined therapy of HIFU and Chemo and Biotherapy

the patient soon showed great progress. His pre-complained complications were eased and his lump which was then hard

was found to be in a better condition. He returned to normal daily activities again.
